Application Support Analyst - Birmingham City Centre - Hybrid Working - Permanent - £35-40,000 per annum - Great Benefits Package
Are you a technically minded problem-solver with a knack for keeping business-critical applications running smoothly? We’re working with a forward-thinking organisation that prides itself on doing the right thing — for its people, its customers, and its community — to find an Application Support Analyst who shares those values and loves seeing technology make a difference.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative, purpose-driven team where innovation, trust, and integrity come first. As an Application Support Analyst, you’ll play a key role in supporting and maintaining a suite of bespoke and third-party business applications. You’ll handle 2nd and 3rd line support, manage release cycles, and work hand-in-hand with development teams to plan, test, and deliver new features and updates across multiple environments.
Day-to-day, you’ll troubleshoot application issues, optimise system performance using tools like SolarWinds, and ensure smooth deployments from development through to production. You’ll collaborate closely with technical teams, vendors, and business users alike — bridging the gap between IT and operations with clear communication and a customer-first approach. Your eye for detail, methodical mindset, and technical insight will be key to ensuring applications perform at their best and deliver real business value.
To thrive in this role, you’ll bring proven experience in Application Support or Technical Analysis, ideally within environments involving custom-built or complex business systems. You’ll understand release management, have exposure to monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, and be comfortable writing simple SQL queries for troubleshooting. Strong stakeholder management skills are a must — you’ll be working with people at all levels, from developers to end users. Experience with ITIL frameworks, ticketing systems like ServiceNow or Jira, or basic scripting will be a real advantage.
In return, you’ll be joining an organisation that truly values its people and leads with integrity. You can expect a supportive environment, genuine work-life balance, and a benefits package designed to reward and develop you — including flexible working, generous leave, professional development opportunities, and a culture built on respect and purpose.
If you’re ready to take ownership of application support in a business that stands for something meaningful, we’d love to hear from you.
